Creatie 2026 (werktitel)

In today’s society, we can’t afford to stand still. We are constantly on the move: we leap from one stimulus to the next, from opportunity to opportunity, from impulse to impulse,… constantly jumping.

It’s this underlying social reality that inspires Creation 2026, the new group piece of Alexander Vantournhout and his company Not Standing. It will explore jumping as core movement material, both in unison and in disharmony. Nine dancers will share the stage, jumping together and alone, finding each other at times to form a collective body, pulsing both together and separately to a vibrant, rhythmical soundtrack.
